I recently had a chance to tour and learn about the crucial programs and jobs for developmentally delayed adults provided by Encore Services in Clinton. My staff and I loved getting to know the participants and how the various jobs they had at Encore Thrift Store and in the community were so important to their lives.
We were also able to discuss the concerns and financial pressures that HB 793, which eliminates sub-minimum wage for those with developmental disabilities would place on facilities like Encore if passed.
