During the closing hours of veto session the House passed legislation to revamp the licensing process at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. I have been working for months with colleagues from both sides of the aisle on fixing this badly broken process which is causing long delays for Illinoisans who are unable to work because of bureaucratic delays in approving their professional licenses.
The bill passed 107-0, an example of what we can do when we are willing to put partisanship aside and work together for the betterment of our state.
