It was extremely gratifying to be able to be a part of a press conference today on a bill banning insurance companies’ pre-authorization abuse for mental healthcare. This is an important topic not only in mental healthcare, but in all of healthcare. This abuse must stop. Let physicians, nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals decide patients’ care – not bureaucrats.
