On March 15, 2024, Governor J.B. Pritzker issued a press release in partnership with Illinois Department of Corrections addressing the condition of correctional facilities throughout Illinois, specifically Stateville Correctional Center, located just outside of Joliet, and Logan Correctional Center, located just outside of Lincoln.
Regarding Logan, the release stated that the facility would be rebuilt but the location had yet to be determined.
Quick action is needed to let the Governor know that this action and its impact on Logan County is unacceptable.
