Republican State Representative Bill Hauter (R – Morton) supports “a safety net” for vulnerable Illinoisans, including the homeless, but expressed frustration that those funds were cut.
“It is unacceptable that this administration and the majority party have chosen to reduce benefits for our citizens to provide generous support to non-citizens, many of whom are here illegally,” he said in a statement.
